'Purple Calabash' is a variety that inspires strong opinion. Some abhor it, but others (like me) wouldn't consider a growing season without it. I find the flavour distinctive and complex, like a fine wine.
It's beauty is also in the eye of the beholder. Some find it's irregular, ribbed shape to be grotesque, yet I rate their earthy, mahogany flesh and sculptural shape to be one of the most beautiful of the many varieties I have grown.
There's no other tomato like it!

About You Grow Girl Seeds:
All of the seeds that I sell were lovingly homegrown and harvested by me, small scale, in my urban garden using organic methods only -- no chemicals or pesticides whatsoever. Tomato varieties are isolated to stay true using the flower bagging method and I test for germination quality. I take special care in choosing varieties that I find unusual, interesting and fabulous, and/or especially suitable for growing in small space gardens.
