Over the years, 'Goldilox' has become one of my favourite dwarf tomato varieties and is now a tomato I can't live without. This variety produces loads (LOADS) of juicy, orange/gold tomatoes on a compact plant that you can grow in the ground or in containers. You won't believe how many you get on such a small plant!
Saladette sized tomatoes are bigger than cherries but smaller than slicers. As the name suggests they are great for salads, but I often enjoy these sliced on a sandwich, too.
'Goldilox' tomatoes are juicy, dense, fruity, and sweet. Grow in a container no smaller than 12-14” deep. The bigger the pot, the greater the yield.
Special Notes: Determinate dwarf variety is great for small spaces and container growing. Orange saladette-sized fruit. Open-pollinated. Mid-season. 75-80 days. No less than 15 seed per packet.
Seed Starting and Growing:
Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed.
About You Grow Girl Seeds:
All of the seeds that I sell were lovingly homegrown and harvested by me, small scale, in my urban garden using organic methods only -- no chemicals or pesticides whatsoever. Tomato varieties are isolated to stay true using the flower bagging method and I test for germination quality. I take special care in choosing varieties that I find unusual, interesting and fabulous, and/or especially suitable for growing in small space gardens.
