Paper collages by Gayla Trail with a range of additional marks made using homemade botanical inks from the garden, graphite, water-based paints, and more. These are original, one-of-kind works (not prints).
This series was made in the spring months of 2020 during the first pandemic lockdown. The windy and tumultuous weather mimicked the tumultuousness of the time and a lot of that is reflected in marks that spiral, twist, and undulate.
